Artists are nearing completion of an 80-foot mural in downtown Gaffney.

Artists from Bannon Blasko LLC are painting the mural on the corner of North Limestone and West Birnie streets.

According to the Gaffney Visitor’s Center and Art Gallery, an entire wall of the building will be painted to showcase many elements from Gaffney’s history.

Work began on August 5 and was expected to take about two full weeks to complete.
