The Greenville County Sheriff's Office said after solving a tire burglary, they received an unexpected gift.

Deputies said in January, four Michelin Tweel UTV tires valued at about $3,000 were stolen from a Michelin employee. On May 22, deputies cracked the case and were able to return the tires.

The next day, the sheriff's office said they found out Michelin was going to donate a set of Tweel UTV tires to the Greenville County Emergency Response Team.

The tires, which are airless and often used on off-road vehicles, will go to the team's Polaris UTV.

“We are honored to have a great working relationship with our friends at Michelin, and are extremely grateful for their generosity," said sheriff Johnny Mack Brown. "It speaks volumes about the character of their organization.”
