Anderson, SC (FOX Carolina) - Deputies in Anderson County say a homeowner was forced to defend themselves after three individuals attempted to break into their home. 

Deputies say it happened Tuesday morning around 9:30 a.m. on Walker Circle. 

We're told the owner shot one of the suspects and while the other two fled on foot. The sheriff's office said a K-9 was sent to track the two suspects.

Public Information Officer JT Foster later confirmed all the suspects were taken into custody.

They were identified as Shawn D Breter, Danielle N Shockley, and Danny L Smith and were all charged with Burglary 3rd degree.

Deputies, forensic investigators, and detectives have responded all responded to the scene to investigate.

Officials said the homeowner was not injured and there is no word on the condition of the accused suspect who was shot. 

We'll update as we learn more.
