Program provides tips to help protect Upstate homes from wildfires

Pickens County Emergency Management said officials were called to the scene of multiple fires on Tuesday.

According to PCEM director Denise Kwiatek, a barn on Merck Road in Central caught fire. No one was injured and the fire was no deemed suspicious.

A brush fire also broke out the Dacusville area. Kwiatek said it was under control and not suspicious. No one was injured.

A vehicle fire also occurred in Easley, although an exact location was not provided. No one was injured and the fire is not suspicious, Kwiatek said.
