Nobody was hurt Tuesday evening after a fire at a Union County plant.
According to officials with Milliken, a small fire happened inside their Gillepsie Plant in Union, prompting an evacuation.
The plant suffered minimal damage and should resume operations soon.
Here's a statement from Courtney Edwards, Director of Corporate Marketing for the company:The safety and well-being of associates are Milliken's number one priority. There was a small fire at Milliken's Gillespie Plant in Union County this afternoon, and it has since been contained with minimal damage. All Milliken associates immediately evacuated per our safety protocols, and we are thankful there were no injuries. We expect operations to resume shortly.
