The Spartanburg Police Department was dispatched to a threat reported at Walmart on Friday.
According to the incident report, employees at the Dorman Centre Walmart told police a coworker who had been employed with the company for at least a month had anger management issues.
Two employees went to management after the man threatened to shoot up the store, according to the report.
Officers said the employee was to be terminated on Friday morning and they advised police be present to avoid a disturbance.
