Police: Man arrested after punch thrown at Brantley Gilbert concert in Greenville

Police said a man was arrested after assaulting a concertgoer at the Brantley Gilbert show on Thursday night.

Gilbert, a country music star, performed at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena on Feb. 8.

Police said the suspect, Christopher Nash, appeared to be intoxicated and was attempting to sell what he claimed was a hat that had been autographed by Brantley Gilbert.

“Sarcastic remarks were exchanged between the suspect and victim at which time the suspect punched the victim," said Sgt. Johnathan Bragg.

The suspect then ran from officers.

According to police incident reports, Nash was arrested on and charged with assault and battery and interfering with police.
