ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) - A man wanted for injuring another man during a shooting has been charged, according to the Asheville Police Department. 

Jaylen Khalil "Ratchet" Blocker, 31, is charged with discharging a firearm within city limits, possession of a firearm by a felon, assault by pointing a gun and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, according to police.   

Blocker was first arrested last week for charges unrelated to the shooting when he was found with 1.2 grams of fentanyl, according to the department. 

Blocker was then charged with possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession with intent to sell/distribute a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a child care center, fentanyl possession of a Schedule I controlled substance and second-degree trespassing.  

IN the shooting incident, an argument between Blocker and another man ended in the man being hospitalized from gunshot wounds, according to the Asheville Police Department.

Police said when they arrived to Granada Street at 7 p.m. Tuesday, they noticed a pool of blood on the sidewalk. The victim was located and taken to Mission Hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
