Greenville Police said a missing child and his mother returned to Greenville Tuesday morning. The child was placed in a family member's custody and the mother was arrested.

Officers said Allison Brooke Littlejohn and her 6-year-old son were last seen on February 24 on Kingsview Street. On Friday, police said they have reason to believe the pair may be in East Point, GA.

No foul play is suspected but family members have shared concerns about the mother's mental health, officers said.

Allison Littlejohn is 26-years-old, 5'11", and weighs 240 pounds. She was last seen wearing gray and black leggings and a black head scarf.

Her son was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black shirt.

On Monday, police said an arrest warrant had been signed for Allison Littlejohn, charging her with child neglect.

Police said the warrant was filed because Littlejohn kept the boy out of school for nearly two weeks.

On Tuesday, police said the mother and son returned. She was taken into custody and the boy is being cared for by family members.
