Spartanburg police said a teen was arrested Sunday after a woman was robbed at an ATM.
The robbery occurred at the South Carolina Credit Union on Camelot Drive.
The victim told police a teenage male approached her while she was conducting an ATM transaction, pointed a gun at her and told her to “give it all up.”
The teen then pulled the trigger and the victim said she realized he was armed with a BB gun, incident reports state.
The victim handed over her wallet and $120 in cash, reports state.
The victim said the teen ran off on foot and she attempted to follow him in her car but ended up stopping and waiting for police at the BB&T on US 29.
Police said they caught up with the suspect, 17-year-old Eric Harper, at the Dorman Center after a brief foot pursuit.
Police said Harper resisted arrest and was combative.
BBs were found inside the teen’s pockets and the robbery victim was able to identify Harper as the suspect.
Harper was arrested and charged with armed robbery, resisting arrest, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
