Investigators with an Upstate police department say they netted narcotics and loaded guns during an undercover sting throughout June and July.

Seneca police said Wednesday the narcotics unit made controlled undercover purchases of illegal drugs from a residence on Fairfield Drive, within city limits, over the last few weeks.

According to a press release, officers were able to purchase quantities from a man they identified as Donald Isaac Lee Wright, arresting him on July 11.

During the arrest, police say they found nine ounces of marijuana and several loaded firearms.

Wright is behind bars at the Oconee County Detention Center and is waiting for a bond hearing.

Police say this is an ongoing investigation and other charges are possible.
