Rain from Subtropical Storm Alberto impacted some Memorial Day that were scheduled to honor the service members who gave their lives while serving in the United States military.

At least two ceremonies were canceled and another planned to move indoors.

Check the list below and refresh throughout the day for updates/cancellations as they come in:GREENVILLECANCELED DUE TO RAIN. 10 a.m. - Greenville County and the Greenville Joint Veterans Council will host a Memorial Day ceremony titled “Tribute to Our Fallen Comrade” In front of the Veterans Memorial Monument at County Square. The ceremony will feature stories from Upstate residents with memories of a fallen comrade and music from the Upstate Senior Concert Band. The county said Monday that the event was canceled due to rain.ANDERSON11 a.m. – The Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home will hold their annual Memorial Day Program. The nursing home is located at 4605 Belton Highway, Anderson. No word yet on cancellations due to rain.10 a.m. - M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery staff members will host the Memorial Day Program. Flags will be placed on all graves for the event. The cemetery is located at 140 Inway Drive, Anderson. The event will be held rain or shine.6 – 9 p.m. - The Anderson County Republican women are hosting and old-time stump meeting featuring multiple political candidates. The event will be at Concord Community Church, at 610 Concord Road in Anderson. Officials said Gov. Henry McMaster, Catherine Templeton, Attorney General Alan Wilson, and John Warren have been invited. Confirmed participants include Lt. Gov. Kevin Bryant, Pamela Evette, Todd Atwater, William Herlong, Rep. Brian White, Rep. Joshua Putnam, Rep. Jonathon Hill, Rep. Jay West, Judge Dan Sharp, Nelson Faerber,, Probate Judge Martha Newton, Rick Freemantle, Don Bowen, West Cox, Frank Pressly, Brett Sanders, Glenn Buddin, Jimmy Davis, and Dennis Grindstaff.SIMPSONVILLE10 a.m. - U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham is expected to attend the ceremony, which will be held at the Veterans Memorial on Main Street. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held indoors at the Activity and Senior Center, located at 310 West Curtis Street.ASHEVILLECANCELED 2:30 p.m. - The City of Asheville Mayor's Committee for Veterans Affairs will host its annual Memorial Day Concert and Ceremony on the Roger McGuire Green stage in Pack Square Park, featuring performances from the Asheville High School Quintet Band and Asheville's noted choral group,the Reuter Center Singers. The city sent out an alert just after 8:30 a.m. stating the concert and ceremony had been canceled due to heavy rain in the forecast.
