Jesse Osborne, the suspect in a deadly shooting at Townville Elementary School in 2016, entered a plea of not guilty during an arraignment hearing on Thursday.

The teen was due in court to respond to indictments against him for two counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder. He is being charged as an adult.

Osborne was arrested at age 14 after authorities say he shot his father to death before driving to Townville Elementary and opening fire on the playground, killing 6-year-old Jacob Hall.

An FBI special agent testified that Osborne had previously exchanged messages on Instagram detailing plans to "most likely kill around 50 or 60."

During Thursday's hearing, Osborne pleaded not guilty on all counts.
