A Greenville County store was robbed at gunpoint on Sunday and investigators said the suspects are still on the loose.

"It was just like my life flashing before my eyes because the gunman was actually shaking with the gun so it was just really scary," Ms. Pitts, an employee of Fresh 2 Def, said.

Greenville County deputies are investigating the armed robbery that happened on White Horse Road around 10:30 AM.

The store's surveillance camera captured two men on video. Those men have now been named suspects in the armed robbery.

At first, the two men appear to be customers walking around the store, but this quickly changes when the other customers leave the store.

Pitts was the only employee working at the time, and said the men brought a few items to the counter and said they wanted to make a purchase.

"When he came to the counter, that’s when the guy with the black hoodie actually pulled the gun out and they were just yelling at me and telling me to give them everything," said Pitts.

The victim said she has not been able to sleep since the robbery and keeps replaying what happened over and over again.

She said it all feels like a nightmare, but the reality that this happened to her is something that she can’t get out of her mind.

"It’s really still emotional to think about because it’s something kind of stuck in my head right now," said Pitts.

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office said the two men got away with cash from the register, as well as store merchandise. The store's owner said he's relieved because the situation could have been much worse.

"One wrong move or mistake could have turned out worse than what it did,” said Pierre Mensell, owner of Fresh 2 Def, “They look like they may be just taking chances and not very good chances. Hopefully they can get them off the street before anybody gets hurt.”

Deputies said the suspects drove off in a champagne-colored Dodge Durango. The store employee said she tried to get a tag number but the car had a temporary green paper tag.

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
