A local non-profit, along with an Upstate church, are working together to provide a warm pancake breakfast to the homeless in the Upstate.

Non-profit organization Searchlight Street Ministries and Abundant Life Church in Greenville are asking for donations from the community to help fund a pancake breakfast for the homeless.

The pancake plates will be given out on the streets to the homeless population.

Organizer Steve Hayes said this in the Facebook post, "This one is very important to Searchlight, it gives them an opportunity to meet the new homeless population as well as continue a relationship with the ones they know."

Volunteers are hoping to give out 200 pancake plates. Each plate costs $6 and Hayes said they are working to raise $1,200. The deadline is this Friday.
