The Greer Police Department is investigating sexual assault allegations against an Upstate woman and her boyfriend.

Officers said Ashley Nicole Burnett is charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and two counts of child neglect. Her boyfriend, Johnathan Sarratt, is also facing charges in the case but has not yet been arrested on the charges, police said.

Sarratt is currently in the custody of the South Carolina Department of Corrections for receiving stolen goods.

Police said the victim disclosed he had been sexually abused after exhibiting sexualized behavior. According to arrest warrants, the victim was under the age of 5 between early 2014 and early 2017 when the incidents occurred.

Warrants accused Burnett of performing sex acts on the victim and trying to make him perform a sex act on Sarratt.

"The defendant not only actively participated in the abuse but was present when a co-defendant was abusing the victim and failed to stop the abuse," the warrant against Burnett states.

Burnett is currently being held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
