The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office said two suspects were arrested after a woman was assaulted and robbed last year.

According to arrest warrants, in December 2017 a victim was beaten and her purse was stolen at a gas station on Holly Springs Road.

The incident report states that the victim's arms were pinned by her sides while she was punched repeatedly in the face, arms and torso with brass knuckles. The suspects fled with her purse, which contained three bank cards, a billfold and a cell phone.

The case was reopened in May and a suspect was identified in a line-up.

Venda Nicole Dill, 24, and Michael Shane Tucker, 27, were booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Center on Tuesday in connection with the case.

They are each charged with armed robbery, FTC theft, first-degree assault and FTC fraud.
