(Meredith) -- A video featuring a boy singing to his baby brother with Down Syndrome quickly went viral after their mother shared it on Facebook on December 30.
When Nicole Powell shared the video of her son Rayce singing to her youngest son Tripp, she had no idea the video would quickly amass tens of thousands of views, according to ABC News.
In the video, Rayce sings Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber’s song “10,000 Hours” to Tripp, who has Down Syndrome.
Tripp is one of five children in his Cabot, Arkansas family. The 6-week-old boy was born with Down Syndrome and spent the first weeks of his life in intensive care before finally coming home on Christmas Eve, THV11 says.
While in the hospital, Tripp’s family, including his big brother Rayce, would come visit.
Rayce eventually picked out a song to sing for his baby brother. That song was “10,000 Hours.”
Powell told ABC News that Rayce would tell trip “This one’s for you” every time the song came on, and eventually caught the two on camera.
The original Facebook post by Powell has been shared over 35,000 times as of January 4 and has been shared by CBS, The National Desk, and many other news stations.
In a message alongside the video, she remarks on how proud she is of Rayce’s unconditional love for his younger brother.
“Love doesn’t count chromosomes, or as Rayce says, ‘Aren’t we all different?’,” she wrote.
