Looking Ahead

Sunny skies stay in place for most of this week, with temperatures at and below average through Wednesday. Though a briefly milder air mass comes Thursday and Friday, a wintry system could affect us over the weekend.

Today, clear skies and cool temperatures prevail. Highs reach 47 in the Upstate, and 42 in the mountains, dropping into the 20s tonight. Tomorrow brings a few passing clouds during the afternoon, with highs around 50.

Thursday and Friday warm up slightly, reaching the upper 40s in the mountains and mid-50s in the Upstate.

On Saturday, the day starts dry for several hours, but rain will develop, and could turn to snow across much of our area, all depending on the track of the area of low pressure. Right now models hint at a few hours of snow for the 85 corridor and northward into the mountains Saturday evening into the night, but a lot can still change. We will keep you posted as the data becomes more clear.
