A Flood Watch is in effect for both Greenville & Asheville along with their surrounding areas as at least 2 inches of rain will fall. In some areas, up to five inches remains possible through the storm.

Today, expect widespread rain that will be heavy at times. Highs stay in the mid to upper 50s, along with a strong wind. In high elevations above 3500', a Wind Advisory is in place through midnight.

The heavy heavy rain will continue tonight and then begin to push only into our easternmost counties Tuesday morning.

Tuesday in general will present more on and off rain, but there will still be a good chance for it in most spots. Highs rebound into the mid-60s.

By Wednesday, sunshine peeks through the clouds helping highs return to normal in the 70s, with only a slight chance at a lingering shower or two.

Another quick moving disturbance will provide a few encore showers on Thursday before we’re in the clear Friday into next weekend with highs in the 70s.
