Heat, humidity, and spotty showers/storms continue the rest of this week.
Today keeps the summertime standard of heat and humidity along with a small chance of rain. The best coverage of scattered showers will be in WNC - expect highs in the 80s to low 90s with higher heat index values in northeast GA and the Upstate.
Thursday brings similar conditions across the area – warm and humid with the best chance of scattered showers and storms in the mountains.
Friday and Saturday look to feature a slightly better chance of Upstate rain/storms, but the prospects of widespread, washout-type rain appear very low.
Sunday and Labor Day Monday look near average – spotty afternoon rain with plenty of heat and humidity. You should be able to squeeze in most outdoor plans without much weather interruption.
