Storm chances and a flash flood threat continue through Friday evening before some big-time relief arrives next week!
Waking up to a partly cloudy sky near 70 degrees, the day heats up quickly, reaching 88 Upstate and 83 in the mountains. Expect clouds to increase with a storm chance in the afternoon and evening, and some of the storms could be strong to severe. Damaging wind and heavy rain will be the main threats, with small hail possible. Storms should fade quickly overnight.
Saturday sees some relief to the area, though there will still be some spotty rain or storms around; the coverage is just expected to be substantially lower than previous days. One final disturbance brings scattered rain and storms to the area Sunday afternoon before big time relief next week!
The first full week of June looks to be quite pleasant in terms of how the air feels PLUS the bonus of reduced to no rain chances! Overnight temperatures in the 50s and 60s are expected, with highs in the 70s and 80s. Plentiful sunshine is expected from Monday through at least midweek.
