A messy forecast to start the week with cold conditions sticking around a little longer.

Through the day, scattered showers continue in the Upstate while the mountains see scattered snow showers continue. Afternoon temperatures should reach near 50 degrees across the Upstate with upper 30s and low 40s in the mountains.

Another wave of scattered snow showers could arrive tonight with some low-end, additional accumulations possible. Gusty winds will accompany the falling snow above 3500 ft.

Mostly sunny and chilly weather is on the way for the Upstate through Wednesday, with freezing conditions in the morning and well below-average temperatures for the afternoon. The mountains see scattered snow showers for both Tuesday and Wednesday.

A warm-up is on the way for Thursday and Friday! Expect mostly sunny conditions both days with highs reaching the 60s, nearing 70 degrees in spots by Friday.

The weekend promises an uncertain, low-confidence forecast at this time. For now, expect at least a small chance of rain both days with temperatures near average for the most part.
