Car crash in Spartanburg Co. kills man days after incident

Despite surviving the initial crash, the driver eventually succumbed to the injuries.

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - On Saturday, the South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) reported a deadly crash that occurred on Quarter Mile Rd on Tuesday.

According to SCHP, the only vehicle involved was a 2017 Ford pickup truck going south down the road. The driver was the car’s only passenger.

SCHP said the pickup truck ran off to the left, hit a ditch, then struck some trees.

The injured passenger was taken to the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, but died from the injuries later on Friday.

The collision is still under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
