Registered sex offender caught distributing child porn, officials say

TAYLORS, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The South Carolina Attorney General’s Office said a registered sex offender living in the Upstate has been arrested on new charges.

After a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, investigators said they determined Tollie Jack Roberts IV distributed child sexual abuse material.

Roberts, 65, was convicted of charges related to child pornography in North Carolina in 2012. He now lives on Jesse Court in Taylors and was taken into custody by the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.

He is charged with three counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
