Teen victim of July Fourth crash laid to rest Saturday

Four other victims in the crash were also injured.

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Funeral service details have been released for Chasity Nelson, the victim of a suspected DUI crash on July the Fourth.

A service was held Saturday, July 19 at 2 p.m. at Rock of Ages Baptist Church. You can watch the funeral below:

Chasity passed away on July 8, four days after another driver hit the car she and her friends were in.

Four other victims were hospitalized.

Troopers said the suspect, Kevin Harrison, was under the influence when he disregarded a traffic signal and hit the car head-on.

Chasity was a rising sophomore and cheerleader at J.L. Mann High School. Loved ones said she wanted to become a veterinarian.

Her aunt described her as a great person to be around, and someone who was always smiling.
