Attempted murder suspect in custody after Union stabbing

UNION, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Union Police Department said a suspect in a stabbing has been arrested.

On Tuesday, officers were called to reports of a stabbing on Harris Street.

Police found a victim who had been stabbed in the abdomen. He was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Inside the home, officers said they found blood in multiple rooms and a knife in the living room.

Investigators identified the suspect as 29-year-old Juan Ramirez.

Ramirez is charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. He was booked into the Union County Detention Center.
