SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - A band that hails from the Carolinas is asking for help in locating a beloved pet.

The band Sweet Spine says its music and shows celebrate the Carolinas and the community that shaped the group—and now, the group is asking for that community’s help in finding its cat, Cole.

“Cole isn’t just a pet. He’s part of our family, creative identity, and a part of the local area that shaped us,” said Sweet Spine vocalist and frontman Fox Haynes.

Haynes says that Cole was adopted from the Spartanburg Humane Society and became Sweet Spine’s mascot, appearing on much of the group’s merchandise.

Cole was last seen Sept. 22 near The Villas at Lawson Creek in Boiling Springs, SC. The group believes he may have jumped out from under a couch while furniture was being moved, and that he could be frightened or injured.

The band says Cole is a 1-year-old black short-haired cat with sleek, soft fur. He is neutered, microchipped and does not wear a collar.

The band is offering a $1,000 reward for anyone who finds Cole. If you know of Cole’s whereabouts, call or text 864-293-5132.
