Buncombe Co. man pleads guilty to trading vapes for explicit videos of juvenile

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Buncombe County District Attorney’s Office reports a man pleaded guilty to child sex crimes on Tuesday.

Investigators said Joshua Ryan Reece, 46, encouraged a juvenile victim to send sexually explicit videos to him in exchange for vape cartridges.

Reece pleaded guilty to first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and sexual servitude of a minor.

Officials said the victim and their family were consulted before the plea and were fully supportive of it.

Reece must register as a sex offender for 30 years and was sentenced to 15 to 23 years in the custody of the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction. He will also not be allowed any contact with the victim.
