Police: Juvenile with stolen gun charged after reported fight at Haywood Mall

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Officers with the Greenville Police Department said a juvenile was charged after reports of a fight at Haywood Mall on Saturday evening.

The police department reported an off-duty officer working at Haywood Mall was alerted by mall security about an altercation near the Great American Cookie. Police said that when they and mall security arrived, the crowd began dispersing.

One juvenile was found to have a gun, according to officers. Police said the gun was stolen from Mauldin.

Police reported the weapon was never fired inside the mall. Officers said the juvenile was charged with possession of a stolen firearm.
