19-year-old arrested after 19-year-old injured in Greenwood shooting, police say

GREENWOOD, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Greenwood Police Department said an 19-year-old has been arrested after a 19-year-old was injured in a shooting on Tuesday.

Tameriah Skai Hackett is facing charges of assault and battery of a high and aggravated offense and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Officers report responding to South Main Street around 10:23 p.m.

Evidence from the scene shows the teen was shot by a person they were with at the time, police said.

Hackett was taken into custody on Wednesday, according to officers.
