Deputies: Drug trafficking investigation yields over 2 pounds of meth, 5 arrests
RUTHERFORD COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - Five Rutherfordton residents are behind bars after a joint drug trafficking investigation.
The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office said a lengthy drug trafficking investigation led to the ACE Team executing a search warrant at a home on Riverview Drive in Rutherfordton on June 10.
During the search, investigators found about 2.8 pounds of methamphetamine, 55.3 grams of fentanyl powder and additional controlled substances and drug-related paraphernalia.
The investigation and search led to the arrests of:
- Jason William Rollins received a $540,000 bond for the charges of:
- Trafficking Fentanyl
- Trafficking Methamphetamine
- Possession With Intent to Manufacture, Sell, and Deliver (PWIMSD) Schedule IV Controlled Substance
- Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Controlled Substances
- PWIMSD Marijuana
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Exposure of a Child to a Controlled Substance
- Jessica Leigh Dalton received a $250,000 secured bond for the charges of:
- Trafficking Fentanyl
- Trafficking Methamphetamine
- PWIMSD Schedule IV Controlled Substance
- Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Controlled Substances
- PWIMSD Marijuana
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Exposure of a Child to a Controlled Substance
- Kimberly Shey Clements received a $1 million secured bond for the charges of:
- Trafficking Fentanyl
- Trafficking Methamphetamine
- PWIMSD Schedule IV Controlled Substance
- Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Controlled Substances
- PWIMSD Marijuana
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Exposure of a Child to a Controlled Substance
- Malachi Issac Gordon received a $550,000 secured bond for the charges of:
- Trafficking Fentanyl
- Trafficking Methamphetamine
- PWIMSD Schedule IV Controlled Substance
- Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Controlled Substances
- PWIMSD Marijuana
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Exposure of a Child to a Controlled Substance
- Anna Marie Rollins recieved a $2,000 secured bond for Exposure of a Child to a Controlled Substance.
The sheriff’s office said the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Drug Enforcement Administration, Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office CID Division, and the United States Postal Service assisted in the investigation.
