Caroline Soro

Anchor/Reporter, FOX Carolina & Palmetto Sports
Caroline Soro

Caroline Soro is an anchor and reporter for FOX Carolina and Palmetto Sports.

Leading the J-School's pinnacle sports show and the sports section of the student newspaper while at the University of Kansas led to Caroline's first job at KSNT, the NBC affiliate station in Topeka, Kansas. She began as a part-time news reporter during her senior year of college, picking up any and all of the extra sports coverage she could - high school football games on Friday nights or various coach/player press conferences. She earned a full-time reporter job after graduating college, which eventually turned into a full-time sports anchor/reporter role. Carolina said she's been fortunate to follow the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL playoffs, attend the MLB playoffs covering the Kansas City Royals, cover two Big 12 programs in Kansas and Kansas State along with two more competitive DII programs.

Being a sports reporter has been Caroline's dream for as long as she can remember. She used to "report" on the sidelines of her younger brothers' (yes, twins) football games when she was a kid, pretending she was ESPN's newest sideline reporter. That dream led Caroline to pursue sports journalism in college and in her professional career. Carolina has always wanted to be part of the action, and what better way to do so than by finding and sharing important sports stories with others? Through chasing local stories, she's been able to connect with athletes, coaches, fan bases and communities in ways she wouldn't have been able to otherwise. Establishing such relationships is not only a point of emphasis for her but has taught her how to preserve (and the importance of) the human side of both journalism and sports.

Caroline is excited to continue telling meaningful stories across the robust sports scene in the Upstate and keep our audience connected to the biggest and best local sports moments.
